Orange farm stay consists of three dynamically formed cabins located in a rural central west New South Wales. These sustainable cabins are completely off-grid, generating their own electricity, harvesting rainwater and processing waste on site. The angular forms are clad in weathering steel, which gives the buildings a rich red-orange colour reminiscent of the colours of the earth. Each cabin features a double height living area, heated with a small wood burning fireplace, a bathroom with views over the landscape, and a comfortable bedroom. The unconventional forms reflect the fun and whimsy of a weekend escape.
